Yoga Nidra for Pandemic Times – Just come to rest and relax outside in Banfield Park
Yoga Nidra – a form of guided relaxation/meditation allowing you to relax deeply, to access your subconscious mind, calming the nervous system and the body’s stress response. At the beginning of the class we take as much time as needed to get comfortable. This may include gentle movements and stretches. Ideally, you will be laying down in the grass. You are also welcome in a wheelchair or to bring a comfortable folding chair that allows your body to be still and resting for a longer period of time.
What to bring: Any mat or blanket, a block or towel that can rolled tightly, a belt (can be a Yoga strap or a belt from a bathrobe), dress in layers to make sure you feel comfortable all the time.
Small outside classes allowing for safe, physical distancing during COVID 19. Please wear comfortable, layered and adequate clothing for the weather and time of day. Feel free to wear a mask. In case of unsuitable weather, the Fire Side Room will be used as back-up (but only if we must as it is safer outside).
Tuesdays from 2:30 - 3:30 pm, June 16 - July 7, outside, Vic West Community Centre, 521 Craigflower Road
